Innovation was on display at the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, with remarkable new technologies such as airplanes, telephones, typewriters and personal appliances making their first appearance. This year, the iconic Palace of Fine Arts will be host to Innovation Hangar, a new organization that will display idea, inventions and foster a “collision between entrepreneurial students and the public.” Carl Nolte writes about his exploration of the Innovation Hangar in the San Francisco Chronicle today.
