On this day – April 5

On this day in 1915 the Panama-Pacific International Exposition celebrated the dedication of the Bolivia Pavilion and Siskiyou County Day.

The Bolivia Pavilion was designed by San Francisco architect Albert Flair as a reproduction of the Church of San Lorenzo at Potosi. Inside were resting rooms, offices, and exhibit halls that showcased Bolivian metals, hardwoods, fruit, potatoes, corn, beans, textiles, rubber, chocolate, alpaca and others.
