Stucco Fantasy: How the PPIE Influenced Roadside Architecture in California

Los Angeles historian Jim Heimann, author of Crazy California and Beyond: Roadside Architecture, will trace the 1915 Pan-Pacific International Exposition’s fanciful, yet little-known, legacy of stucco construction from the “Joy Zone” at the PPIE to Hollywood set design and roadside architecture.
